...into google image search to see who the original artist was and the results were quite interesting.
A lot of fantasy eroticism stuff but his female robots appear on many an early 90s design, Starlight in particular comes to mind.

It's mad how many rave flyers use fantasy art, psy rock covers and scientific journal covers from the 70s for the artwork.
The google image search is great for finding out where the artwork was 'sourced' from. Just drag the image into the search field!

Think i either read or saw something on TV about him... Like you say a lot of the images were originally designed for Prog / Psy Rock Album Covers...
Again goes back to the debate about being able to easily scan an image and knock up a cool flyer quickly!
